Will Schmitt

Will Schmitt is an expert on innovation processes and design in international development. He is currently an innovation services officer with the World Bank Group’s Innovation Labs where he leads efforts to apply open innovation methods to World Bank operations, innovation capability building for World Bank operational teams, and an experimental design thinking portfolio aimed at testing relevance and applications of design thinking to World Bank operations in the field. Previously Will served as the open innovation advisor at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). Will was the founding Program Manager at USAID for LAUNCH (www.launch.org), a unique technology and entrepreneurship support program co-presented by USAID, NASA, the Department of State, and Nike, Inc.
