SwitchPoint is where humanitarian innovation, global health, and technology collide.
SwitchPoint isn’t just another conference. It’s an experience—a unique way to network, build partnerships, and drive positive change. SwitchPoint is a movement built around an annual gathering of the smart, the curious, and the creative from all circles of humanitarian and global development work.
There are no conference rooms, no fluorescent lights, no boring speakers. Instead you'll find:
An amazing program. 30+ powerful stage talks about the latest developments in tech for good, global health, humanitarian response, and more. Plus live performances that bring the arts and industry together in bold new ways.
Brilliant speakers. You'll meet engaging experts from Johnson & Johnson, IBM, Facebook, and more, and hear from humanitarian dynamos who are making big things happen, from the world's most populous cities all the way to the last mile.
Hands-on microlabs. 20+ break-out sessions give you a chance to interact with SwitchPoint presenters as you work side-by-side to design hands-on, practical solutions to real-world problems.
Not the usual networking. It's more like alchemy. SwitchPoint is all about sparking unusual collaborations and bringing together people from across industries to do more good together. Get to know your favorite speakers at the mentoring microlab or at the Thursday evening networking reception.
Nice extras. Cool swag, great local food, gorgeous scenery, and a choice of three field trips that give you a chance to see more of it.
Each year SwithPoint attracts hundreds of attendees from around the world including non-profit and development professionals, corporate mavens, educators, policy makers, innovators, and social entrepreneurs.
SwitchPoint happens every spring in Saxapahaw, a tiny, historic, riverside town in the beautiful North Carolina Piedmont. The event spans two days in and around the Haw River Ballroom, an award-winning space set in the former dye house of a historic cotton mill.
Come get some fresh air. Find your people. And learn how to make your big idea for greater social good a reality.
Dress is casual; the conversation won't be.
SwitchPoint is produced each year by IntraHealth International. We're on a mission to make sure everyone everywhere has the health care they need to thrive. And we know that creative, unexpected partnerships can help us achieve that.
