Ummuro Adano

Ummuro Adano is IntraHealth International’s regional director for East Africa. He leads the design and implementation of strategies to advance IntraHealth’s mission, growth, reputation, and impact in the region. Ummuro has worked for more than two decades throughout sub-Saharan Africa with local non-governmental organizations and the private sector to influence transformative change in the health and education sectors and to strengthen health systems and service delivery platforms and expand local capacity. His areas of expertise include leadership and governance, education and performance, public sector financing, and systems analysis and data-driven solutions. He also brings experience working with organizations such as the British Council, DFID, Management Sciences for Health, and Save the Children. Ummuro has a master's degree in health policy, planning, and finance from the London School of Economics.
