Pam McQuide

Pamela McQuide has been an innovator in global health for over 15 years, including more than a decade of professional experience in sub-Saharan Africa. Pam has worked extensively on health workforce issues in the region, with expertise in human resources management, human resources information systems, health policy, and health services research. Most recently, Pam served as deputy chief of party for the Capacity Building for Country Owned HIV/AIDS Services in Namibia. She has held numerous leadership roles at IntraHealth, including acting director of human resources for health/systems strengthening and deputy director/director of technical services for the Capacity Kenya project. A registered nurse with a PhD in Social Policy, Pam brings a participatory approach to engaging local leaders—promoting ownership and creating an atmosphere of respect and trust. Prior to joining IntraHealth, Pam worked with the Kenya Nursing Workforce Project and Training Analysis Project led by Emory University, FHI, Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, the European Union, USAID, CARE International, and the United Nations Population Fund.
