Matt Berg

Matt Berg is director of the Modi Research Group’s Africa Lab based in Nairobi, Kenya. Part of the Earth Institute at Columbia University, they work to develop open source solutions to enable the smarter use of data in development. Berg is the former director of the Geekcorps’ Mali program, a PopTech! Social Innovation Fellow, and was featured as one of Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People of the World in 2010.
