Lauren Mello

After spending some time in almost all the different departments at NC State University, Lauren graduated with a dual major in chemistry and food science in 2007. Since then, she’s worked as a biochemist in the development of therapeutic proteins and vaccines, and is now part of a research group that is developing inhalation therapies for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and asthma. Lauren is an avid gardener and semi-professional cook. She loves photography, cats, and her husband Dave.
