Dengbej Gazin

Gazin is a renowned performer of Dengbej (or Kurdish sung poetry) and one of the few Kurdish women bold enough to publicly perform this ancient art form in Turkey today—despite patriarchal tribal mores and government repression to the contrary. Gazin is a pioneering artist and activist.
